Scope
This policy explains how PlugOp Technologies Inc. ("PlugOp," "we," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information through plugop.com and its related public landing pages (the "Website"). It covers information submitted through Website forms, communications initiated from the Website, and Website analytics.
Separate PlugOp products, customer portals, mobile applications, or services may provide additional privacy notices that apply to those experiences.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you request a portfolio review, inspection, or other contact, we may collect your name, work email, phone number, company or property name, site address, property size, charger count, timing, project details, and the contents of your message.
Website and campaign data
We may collect the page visited, referring page, campaign parameters such as UTM source and campaign name, device and browser category, approximate region, and interactions such as button clicks or form starts. Optional PostHog analytics is collected only after consent. Vercel provides cookieless, aggregated Website and performance measurements.
How We Use Information
- Respond to inquiries and schedule requested conversations or inspections.
- Evaluate project needs and provide relevant PlugOp services.
- Measure Website and campaign performance.
- Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Website.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.
Cookies and Analytics
PlugOp does not use Website analytics for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not run advertising pixels on the Website. Our current Website technologies are summarized below.
| Technology | Purpose | Storage | Choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| plugop_consent | Remembers your optional analytics choice. | First-party cookie, 180 days. | Necessary to remember the preference. |
| PostHog | Manual page-view, campaign, and conversion analytics. Autocapture and session recording are disabled. | First-party cookie and local storage, up to 180 days after consent. | Off until accepted; can be withdrawn at any time. |
| Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights | Aggregated traffic, device, regional, and performance measurements. | Cookieless aggregated measurements. | Operates without a persistent visitor cookie. |
When optional analytics is accepted, PlugOp stores first-touch and most-recent campaign attribution in browser storage so a submitted inquiry can be associated with the campaign that led to it. If optional analytics is declined, this stored attribution is removed. Current-page campaign parameters may still accompany a form you voluntarily submit so we can understand the source of that inquiry.
You can review or change your optional analytics choice at any time.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a supported Global Privacy Control signal, PlugOp keeps optional PostHog analytics disabled for that browser. Cookieless, aggregated Vercel measurements may continue to operate.
Service Providers and Disclosures
We use service providers to operate the Website and respond to inquiries. These include Vercel for hosting, aggregate analytics, and performance measurement; PostHog for consented product and marketing analytics; and Twilio SendGrid for delivery of Website inquiry emails. These providers process information on our behalf under their applicable terms and data-protection commitments.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information collected through the Website, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data Retention and Security
We retain inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Analytics information is kept according to our configured retention periods and provider settings. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. You may submit a request by emailing support@plugop.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and legal exceptions may apply.
You may also decline optional PostHog analytics, use Global Privacy Control, or adjust browser storage settings. Declining optional analytics does not prevent you from using the Website or submitting a request.
SMS and Email Communications
If you initiate a call, text, or email, we use the information you provide to respond. SMS originator opt-in data and consent are not sold or shared for third-party marketing. Communications providers may process the information as needed to deliver messages.
Children
The Website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Website.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. The date above shows when this policy was last updated. Material changes will be posted on this page.
